Connection

In order to connect to your FilingBox SMB, you first need to install the FilingBox SMB Windows client on your computer.

Requirements

• Windows 10 or 11
• Network connection to your FilingBox SMB server (Firewall, etc.)

Setting FilingBox SMB server address and port

After installing FilingBox SMB Windows client, you first need to enter its IP address or domain, and port number in Settings.

1. Run the FilingBox SMB Windows client.
2. Click the Setting icon.
3. Enter the server IP address or domain, and port.
4. Change the drive letter if you want.
5. Click OK.

Logging in to FilingBox SMB

The admin needs to create your account first.

1. Run the FilingBox SMB Windows client.
2. Type your ID and password on the login screen.
3. Click Log in.
4. The FilingBox SMB drive will be mounted (mapped) in Windows File Explorer.
