- A domain user account is automatically added to FilingBox GIGA when a network drive is mounted using the user's Active Directory credentials.
- Refer to Microsoft’s official documentation to learn how to map a network drive using File Explorer on Windows 10 or 11.
- Connect using different credentials: You must check the Connect using different credentials checkbox. The connection will fail if you do not check this box.
- Entering Network Credentials: Enter the user's Active Directory credentials, using the username@domain (e.g., alice@your.domain) format for the username, and enter the password.
- Once the network drive is successfully mounted, the user account will automatically appear in Domain User Account Management in the Admin Console.
Note
The account will be registered as a domain account only when connecting to the personal folder of the user account in the Active Directory domain.
It will not be registered as a domain account when connecting to a shared folder for which the account's group has been granted access permissions.
