Login (First login)

When installing the client and attempting to log in to the Windows Client for the first time, the process of registering the two-factor authentication method and changing the temporary password will be performed.

  1. Two-factor authentication method registration

After entering the server connection information and logging in with the ID and temporary password for the first time, the screen to register the two-factor authentication method will appear as shown below.

Since the client requires two-factor authentication for actions such as login and allowing app registration/deletion, the QR code displayed on the screen must be registered in the OTP app installed on the administrator's phone (e.g., Google Authenticator, etc.).

To verify that the QR code has been correctly registered on the administrator's phone, open the OTP app, enter the current 6-digit number displayed under the same entry as the login account information, and click the 'Verify' link.

If the OTP authentication is successful, the following message will be displayed.

If the OTP authentication fails, the following error message will pop up.

    Important

Since OTP is used as the second authentication method, the time information of both the client and the server must match. If the system time of the two systems differs by more than 1 minute, the second authentication may fail. In case of a failure, contact the system administrator.

  2. Change password

When a new device administrator is created through the admin web UI, the password set at that time is a "temporary password." Therefore, when logging into the client, the password must be changed.
