Setting up FilingBox Team appliance

Power connection

  1. Locate the power port on your FilingBox Team appliance.
  2. Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet using the provided power cable.

Monitor connection

  1. Find the HDMI port on your FilingBox Team appliance.
  2. Connect the appliance to your monitor using an HDMI cable.
  3. Ensure your monitor is set to the correct HDMI input source.

Network Connection

  1. Identify the Ethernet port on your FilingBox Team appliance.
  2. Connect the appliance to your router using an Ethernet cable.

Turning on appliance

  1. Locate the power button on your FilingBox Team appliance.
  2. Press the power button to turn on the appliance.
  3. Wait for the system to initialize and boot up.
  4. Once the IP address is displayed on your monitor, it is ready to use.

Network requirements

  1. The FilingBox Team appliance must be connected to an internal network.
  2. Ensure it is on the same network as your personal computer (PC).

IP address discovery

  1. Once connected via HDMI and Ethernet, the IP address of your FilingBox Team will be displayed on your monitor.
  2. Note down this IP address as it is essential for subsequent configuration and access.

Registering FilingBox Team appliance

  1. Go to the Submit a request on FilingBox Help Center.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Choose Product registration on the Category dropdown.
  4. Enter your name.
  5. Enter "FilingBox Team product registration" on the Subject field.
  6. Enter your license key on the description field. The license key can be found in the product packaging or provided documentation based on your purchase types.
  7. Attach a digital copy (soft copy) of your purchase receipt.
  8. Click Submit.
  9. After submission, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided in Step 2 within days.

Updating FilingBox Team appliance

  1. Go to the Update screen by entering `https://your-appliance-ip-address/update` into the address bar of a web browser.
  2. If an SSL warning appears in your web browser, ignore the warning and proceed according to the browser-specific instructions.
  3. Select the version you wish to update to.
  4. Click Update.
  5. Verify the admin credentials.

In order to update, FilingBox Team initial setup must be completed due to requirement of the admin verification.
