The users with the Department head role can share the subfolders of their primary Team folders with specific members of the other teams, and can create Project folders for specific projects or tasks when
they need to work with the combination of other teams.

  • The users with the Department head role are the only users who can share the subfolders primary Team folders.
  • The users with the Department head role are the only users who can create and share Project folders.
  • The folder you want to share needs to be removed from Direct Access first to be shared.

Sharing Folders

  1. Log in to the FilingBox desktop client.
  2. Select the Folders tab.
  3. In your primary Team Folder list, navigate to the folder that you want to share.
  4. Select the folder.
  5. In the left toolbar, click the share icon.
  6. Add teams or users.
  7. Set an expiration date if needed.
  8. Click OK.
  9. The folder icon is changed to the shared folder icon.
  10. The shared folder is also added to the Shared Folder list as well as invited users.

Creating Project folders

  1. Log in to the FilingBox desktop client.
  2. Select the Folders tab.
  3. Select Project Folder list.
  4. In the left toolbar, click Create Project Folder icon.
  5. Enter a folder name.
  6. Add teams or users.
  7. Set an expiration date if needed.
  8. Click OK.

Managing user access for Shared & Project folders

  1. Log in to the FilingBox desktop client.
  2. Select the Folders tab.
  3. In the Shared Folder or Project Folder list, navigate to the folder that you want to manage user access.
  4. Select the folder.
  5. In the left toolbar, click the share icon.
  6. Manage teams or users.
  7. Set an expiration date if needed.
  8. Click OK.

Information

You need to add folders to Direct Access to access them.
